Alternative Fuel Vehicles - A Review of Hybrid, Hydrogen, Electric, E85, Biodiesel and CNG Vehicles
| Alternative fuel vehicles Hybrid Electric - These vehicles use an electric motor and electric controls instead of the internal combustion engine. Some advantages to the electric car include very low maintenance and zero emissions. Electric cars also do not give off as much noise pollution as a normal car. Some disadvantages include limited travel distance before having to recharge and slow acceleration. Hydrogen - Hydrogen vehicles convert hydrogen to power through either a modified version of the internal combustion engine, currently available on the market today, or via hydrogen fuel cells which are still in development. Some obstacles in the development of hydrogen fuel cells is cost, fragility of the cell itself and poor performance in freezing temperatures. CNG (Compressed Natural Gas)- CNG vehicles run on compressed natural gas as opposed to gasoline. This kind of car is more environmentally friendly than a gasoline vehicle, and when compared to all the other alternative methods, is the safest. One complaint of CNG vehicle owners is the large fuel tank compared to that of conventional gasoline tanks, which limits trunk space. Ethanol (e85)- E85 vehicles are powered by ethanol, a fuel made from corn and other natural products. These vehicles release no fossil based carbon dioxide. One disadvantage of this type of fueled car is that it is can be very difficult to start in cold weather. However, there are cold conversion kits on the market today that can eliminate this problem. Some people have simply added a couple gallons of gasoline to the tank prior to the cold season to eliminate the problem as well. Propane - Propane vehicles are powered by propane fuel instead of gasoline. These vehicles are up to thirty percent less expensive than conventional gasoline vehicles to operate. Propane was approved by the 1990 Clean Air Act as an alternative fuel, and vehicles powered by propane produce thirty to ninety percent less carbon monoxide than gasoline engines. Biodiesel - Vehicles that are powered by biodiesel are very similar to diesel vehicles in operation except for the fuel itself. Biodiesel vehicles can run on a combination of natural oil and an alcohol such as ethanol or methanol or exclusively on waste vegetable oil, from restaurant fryers or other food industries. Limited petroleum sources combined with rising gasoline prices and consumer demand will encourage vehicle manufacturers to produce and develop alternative fuel vehicles. These vehicles, in the long run, will reduce transportation costs as well as benefit the environment. |

Products That You Can Use To Convert Water to Gas
This principle is achieved by converting water to gas which produces HHO or two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen that is better known as hydroxy or Brown’s gas. Perhaps the best part is that you only have to put in a quart of tap water that already provides 1800 gallons of HHO that will last for months!
These three products are namely Gas4Free, Run Water On Your Car and WaterCarPro. When you decide to get it, you download an e-book which will explain to you how to assemble the product. The materials can be purchased from the hardware store and since it has detailed instructions, you don’t need to hire someone to do it for you.
This can work for all kinds of vehicles from small cars to trucks except for hybrids since no tests have been done yet.
The three installation kits are all written in English but Gas4Free has made this available in other languages as well. Most of these have product updates so if there is new information, this will be passed on to you.
The cost of the three products is from $47 to $297. This does not yet include the price of the materials but all three say that you can get a return on your investment in less than 2 months because of the amount of money you save from no longer going to the gas station that often.
You will also be able to get tax breaks from the government because the IRS or the internal revenue service encourages consumers to invest in renewable energy sources like the use of hybrid vehicles instead of the ordinary gas or diesel powered vehicle.
Will installing the water to gas conversion kit have any effect on the warranty of your vehicle? The answer is no but if you are concerned that this could cause you any problems, you can easily remove it before you bring the vehicle to the shop and just reinstall it later.
If you are happy with the water to gas conversion kit from one of three products mentioned, you can install in your other vehicles. You can even be the helpful neighbor by doing the same thing for them.
You can purchase the e-book online and then pay for this using your credit card or PayPal account. You have two months to try it out and if you are not happy, you will be able to get a full refund.
Converting water to gas is growing because the price of oil has gone up in recent months. If you still want to keep you SUV instead of trading this in for a smaller car, this is the miracle you have been praying for.
The first time water was used to power a community was the hydroelectric power plant. Years later, other industries were able to use this on a smaller scale so it won’t be long before the automobile industry does the same. So, if you want to save money and do your share to protect the environment, invest in a system that converts water to gas.
BMW's Hydrogen Fuel Quest
German automaker BMW is on a quest, one that may likely make them the first automaker in the world to produce a fleet of vehicles capable of running on hydrogen fuel. That’s right, BMW is leading the way and if all goes as promised the first hydrogen cell powered production BMW will hit the streets in 2008.
Back around 2000, General Motors announced that they would work toward building a fleet of vehicles that could run on hydrogen power. When that announcement was made few thought that hydrogen technology could be successfully tapped and used in a car. However, if it was to come about, most people thought that it would take at least 20 years to come to pass.
In 2004 BMW announced that they, too, would bring hydrogen powered cars into production. But, the automaker said that they would accomplish this feat much sooner – by 2008! As it stands today it looks as if BMW may be well on the road to meeting their lofty goal as automotive blogs are currently commenting on recently surfaced photographs showing what appears to be a hydrogen powered BMW. Specifically, a V12 powered BMW 7 Series has been spotted being tested in Germany and it was learned that this particular test car also had a working alternate fuel source available, namely hydrogen.
Several things still need to occur before hydrogen fuel cells are a readily accepted and available alternative to the internal combustion engine. These include:
The cost of developing hydrogen fuel cells. Currently, the price of fuel cells is prohibitive but technological advancements are lowering that cost. When the cost drops below that of outfitting a vehicle with an engine, than hydrogen fuel cells will become a viable alternative.
Production and storage concerns. Currently, significant amount of fossil fuels must be used to develop hydrogen cells. In addition, storing hydrogen can be a problem and transmitting the fuel through existing natural gas lines doesn’t look possible given the fuel’s negative interaction with steel. Hydrogen proponents are calling on the U.S. government to authorize “Manhattan Project” type funding to create an all new distribution system across the country. Speculation on the cost of implementing a hydrogen infrastructure is in the hundreds of billions of dollars, perhaps well over one trillion dollars.
Should the day come when hydrogen powered vehicles are produced and some sort of distribution system is created, two big benefits will emerge: American dependency on foreign oil will evaporate and greenhouse gas emissions will drop considerably. These two reasons alone may be enough for BMW, General Motors, and other automakers to continue with hydrogen fuel cell development. Will the government step in to help out? That remains to be seen.

How to Save on Water to Gas and Other Useful Tips
Most people are aware about the rising cost of fuel in the market today, unfortunately, most of them don’t know what they can do to save.
If you want some simple tips to decrease your fuel costs, then try to take this article seriously. Here are some very helpful tips that will help you save money on gas.
First, many are not aware that there is the innovative yet simple technology of using, even building your own, water to gas device that can cut down fuel consumption by as much as 30-50%.
Hydrogen generators use water as a primary ingredient to generate oxyhydrogen gas that mixes with conventional fuel during internal combustion that increases mileage and minimizes fuel consumption.
There are a lot of these available in the market or you can build one for youirself, just look it up online and follow expert guides on do-it-yourself sites.
Slow down. The faster you drive, the more your fuel you consume. So, to get better gas mileage, try to stay under 60 mph.
Don’t leave your car to run on idle.
Whenever possible, park your car and turn off the engine instead of letting it run on idle. Idling for long periods of time causes unnecessary heat stress on the engine since all not all mechanical processes are functioning.
Always try to keep your car in the shade when parked. Gasoline evaporates when exposed to high temperatures and vaporizes quickly. Parking the car under the shade will also allow you to use less air conditioning when starting up.
Carpooling is also one of the best ways to save money on gas. You could carpool with friends on your way to work or when you run errands.
Always try to look for more affordable gas filling stations. Don’t just fill up at any gas station, but try to look around different stations to compare rates. Competition has allowed stations to be cheaper than others.
Unload your car with unnecessary clutter. Weight is a factor in fuel consumption, too. You’ll get better gas mileage if you take unnecessary weight out of your vehicle. Don’t carry heavy equipment, tools, or other items unless necessary.
Legwork is another good way to save up on gas. Absolutely the best way to save money is to walk or ride your bike wherever you need to go for short distances away. Not only do you use less gas, you get to have some exercise in the process.
Fill ‘er up. Cut down the number of trips to the gas station by filling up your tank when you go. It is also best practice to wait until the tank is ¼ full before you fill up again.
Avail of gas promotions. Some stations offer loyalty programs or discount cards that can save you at least a few cents per gallon, so take advantage of these. Those little savings add up after a while.
Conserve your airconditioning use. If you feel you don’t need to turn your car air conditioning on, turn it off. You might even try turning it on for a short period and then turning it off again.
If possible and not too uncomfortable, commute. You could try taking public transportation to work or to run other errands. It saves you money, gets you some needed exercise and better for the environment.
Time it right. Whenever possible, gas up you car at the coolest time of day. You’ll have less evaporation than when it’s warmer.
Plan your trips, even short ones. Try to get several of your errands done at once. This will save you gas on driving back and forth all week. You can make a plan to go once a week. Planning also cuts down on unnecessary or spur of the moment trips.
Roll up your windows while driving on highways. Open windows create more wind resistance, which will decrease your gas mileage.
Be efficient in looking for parking spots. When trying to find a parking area, choose the first good spot you can find and avoid wasting gas driving around looking for better parking areas. You may also want to walk between stores.
How to save on water to gas and all these other helpful tips can help you get along and save money for the rainy days.
Convert Water to Gas Can Be Done
With soaring gas prices, one thing we have tried to do in the past is exchange our SUV’s to smaller vehicles given that it does not consume that much gas. Since this is not enough, some have decided to take the next step forward by inventing a system that can convert water to gas.
This product is called “Run Your Car On Water” and it will only cost you $297. With it, you get download to the instruction manual that will help you each step of the way. The materials you need are easy to find since these are all available at your local hardware store so you can assemble it yourself without having to bring your vehicle to the shop.
The system works by using the electricity of your car’s battery to separate water into a gas called HHO or hydroxy which is 2 part hydrogen and one part oxygen. The end result is being able to run your car with less gas consumption.
The system has been tested on gas or diesel powered cars, vans, trucks and SUV’s which also produce cleaner emissions. If you happen to have a hybrid vehicle, don’t try it yet because no tests have been done yet to prove if it works.
Do you need gallons of water to make this work? The answer is no because just about 1 quart is enough to provide over 1800 gallons of HHO which means it will be months before it is time to add water again.
The company that is offering this system claims to be the cheapest in the market. You get more mileage out of your car and if you do the math, the cost in buying it will be recovered in 1 to 2 months.
If you are not happy with the product after 2 months, you can talk with someone from their company to assist in maximizing the use of this product. If you are still not satisfied, you can get a full refund.
Converting water to gas is nothing new because other technologies have already used it. A lot of experts say that since oil is a non-renewable resource, it is only a matter of time before automobile manufacturers decide to come up with their own version that will give “Run Your Car On Water” a run for their money.
Since the cost of goods also goes up and down because of the law of supply and demand, if you want to get a good deal, you should get it now while it is affordable now rather than paying for this at two or maybe three times its value now. If you wait, this product is sometimes offered on sale at $50 off.
You don’t need to use bottled water since tap water will do. The process of conversion is safe so you don’t have to worry because it burns steadily and not in large volumes which is known to be highly flammable.
“Run Your Car On Water” is easy to install and remove. If you are worried that this will void your auto manufacturer’s warranty, don’t because it will not change anything in the vehicle since it is only an accessory which is designed to improve fuel efficiency by simply converting water to gas.
Water to Gas = Water in the Tank?
The latest fuel saving system— the water to gas technology— has most of the public getting confused. Would that mean that we would be putting water in our gas tank? The answer is NO!
With the water to gas conversion it doesn’t literally mean that water will be put inside the gas tank to conserve on fuel. This system uses a water conversion kit called the electrolyzer or the hydrogen generator. This is the device that converts the water into vapour to separate the hydrogen and be used as supplement to gas. So it is very important to follow the instructions stated in the conversion and installation guides.
Water in gas tanks poses big problems. Since water is heavier than fuel, it will build up in the bottom of the tank until it undergoes something to remove it. Water and gasoline is immiscible, meaning it would not mix except in minute or very small quantities. With the water settled in the bottom of the tank, it could result to rust. It also freezes easily and can leave the driver stranded depending where the water froze. Once the water in tank gets deep enough, it will be drawn into the fuel line and can result into clogged filters and strangled motors. Since water is also thicker than fuel, it can’t get through the injector. So water tends to block the injector resulting into engine misfire.
Mechanics said that water in fuel tanks are serious issues. The only thing motorists can do to remove the water without removing the fuel tank is to use isopropyl. But experts recommend sending the vehicles to a repair shop so that all of the water in the tank could be flushed out completely.
A trick used in aircrafts to reduce water contamination in fuels is to fill up at the end of the day, so the tank has less air space overnight. They also fill it up to the brim every night so there is no airspace above the fuel that could lead to vapour condensation. But since cars are only required to be filled with gasoline once a week, this trick may not be applicable to vehicles. Parking indoors will also help in reducing water contamination in gas tanks.
Another possible cause of water in gas tanks is simply the climate. When you have wet conditions, overnight condensation may happen in the fuel tank. Condensation in the tank would occur most in similar conditions to carburaetor icing high humidity/wet conditions with temperatures just above freezing. The car would cool down over night and the moisture in the air space in the tank condenses on the inside of the tank. At the same time, the cooling air in the tank would contract and suck more in from outside worsening the already worse situation.
There are also several incidents of local gasoline stations pumping contaminated gas into vehicles. Some of these gasoline stations were closed down due to the illegal processes that they were doing. An example would be what happened in Deltona, Florida. Some drivers claimed that a Deltona gas station is selling tainted gas. There were two drivers who told the media and reporters that their cars broke down immediately after filling up at the local Deltona gasoline station.
These would be some typical situations where water in gas is not a good thing. Taking care of our vehicles and being aware of the conditions around us will equip us on how to better handle vehicle maintenance.
Convert Your Car To Burn Water Do It Yourself Hho Gas Car Kit Conversion Browns Gas Water Hybrid
HHO gas car kits sell online for hundreds or even thousands of dollars and they are worth every penny! Just think how much fuel savings you would have if per vehicle and if you had a fleet of vehicles the savings could be substantial! If you have a vehicle and you would like to make your own HHO or browns gas kit for your car or truck there is a lot of information available online.
How is HHO gas utilized in a gas or diesel engine. This technology can be used both for gasoline and diesel engines providing to help increase mileage. When you convert your car to burn on water you are converting water to a gas that your engine can use. HHO gas is then inserted before your intake manifolds airflow using your engines vacuum. This gas is then mixed with the gasoline providing better gas mileage.
What is amazing is the process is so simple to convert water to gas. The parts to build this homemade hydrogen generator or hydrogen on demand system are easy to procure and most can be found around the home or shop for under $100 per vehicle or closer to $60 if you price shop online! Just think a hydrogen on demand system that costs you less than two tanks of gasoline when you fill up at the gas pump! What is nice is it requires very little modification to your vehicle and can be removed within minutes without leaving a trace.
If you have seen HHO gas in use on the news than it is no surprise that this technology actually exists. It is making a comeback due to the rising costs of gasoline. If you have been watching this news this same technology has been used also for generating HHO gas for high temperature welding. So HHO gas has more uses other than being a gas supplement to increase mileage.
There are many forums that focus on experimental HHO gas fuel cells or hydrogen cells also using a device called an aqua pulser that can even make the water fuel cell even more efficient. There are even plans and sources for creating a device that varies the frequency of the current introduced into the fuel cell to help the experimenter generate the most HHO gas.
HHO or browns gas technology is an supplemental alternative fuel source that can help you save gas, reduce emissions, increase horsepower while providing a cleaner and quieter engine. Some are even using this technology on their motorcycles, mopeds, motor scooters, even riding lawnmowers and tractors.

Using Hydroxy HHO Gas EFIE Devices to Improve Fuel Economy
Before we go any further, we need to clarify one or more misconceptions in this regard.
Water gas technology is becoming a hot, hot and hot topic these days - and why not, with the fuel prices reaching the roof and all. It seems that everyone is saying that this is the solution to our fuel dependency problems. We can finally run our cars on tap water alone - a concept that we have earlier though to be a pipe dream and nothing more. But is this really possible?
One: the water gas technology cannot afford us the power to run our cars on mere tap water alone - at least not on the commercial level. Rather, we use H2O (also known as HHO) as a fuel economy booster; or some element we could use to maximize our car's fuel use. We still need to buy gas with this technology.
In automobile history, the only time that water has successfully been used as fuel source was when engines ran with steam power. The locomotive industry used this extensively for years. However, steam powered engines are cumbersome and bulky, and needs a large storage of fuel source like coal or wood. These are definitely not something you can install in modern day cars.
Two: not all ready made engines can use water gas technology. Most, if not all of these said engines will have to undergo necessary makeovers.
Three: although there are many online companies now offering do-it-yourself manuals on how to convert your car's engine to something that can use the water gas technology, it would still be better to have a professional mechanic or engine builder perform the necessary changes. Otherwise, you will only be putting your car (and you!) in danger.
How does water gas technology really work?
To simplify matters, we are going to couch this explanation in layman's terms. Water gas technology would obviously need more specialized equipment to process the water as fuel economy booster. You would need a water reservoir to place in your tap water; an HHO generator that will separate the two elements of hydrogen and oxygen; and HHO cells which will finally convert the separated elements into energy (hydroxyl gas.)
The actual process is the following:
1. Water is introduced to the water reservoir. Usually, there is a particular ratio (depending on many factors like: car make, engine make, and other additional engine components) as to how much water should be added for an amount of gas. Let us just say that for this particular example we will have 1:10 ratio, where 1 is the gas liter and 10 is the water liter.
2. The generator creates an electric spark that eventually heats up the water as it flow from the reservoir to HHO cells. The cells in turn separate the elements of water: hydrogen and oxygen.
3. Oxygen is released as a by product of this process which is less toxic than most fuel emissions.
4. Hydrogen is also a gaseous element which is then mixed with the small amount of gas in the tank. This can be done through the installation of vacuum tubes from the hydrogen producing cells to the actual car engine. The resulting hydrogen-water mixture has enough power to run the car or any light vehicle for a period of time.

What You Should Do If You Get Water In Your Gas Tank
My friend and I were late that morning. It can mess up your tank and your car. It was like that for days and days. It got to the point when I was so aggravated that I wanted to blow up my car. Do you know what it feels like to be in a car that has water in the tank? It feels like you are being pulled back and forth while you are going very slow. Then, your car suddenly stops in the middle of the road.
I stopped at another gas station, and a guy told my friend and me to put rubbing alcohol in my gas tank. According to this man, putting rubbing alcohol into my tank will help my car go back to its normal driving condition. Alcohol supposedly takes the water, evaporates it, and even cleans your gas. Although I was very reluctant because I worried that the rubbing alcohol would do more damage to my car than good, I took his advice and put alcohol in it.
To my surprise, it worked! The rubbing alcohol took the water right out. However, in some cases, this will not work, and you would need to get your gas tank changed. A lot of water in your gas tank or in you engine can be very bad. It will cause your car to stall and even to die. You will have some serious car issues. A car can run on water only if you have a water system in it. These cars are made specifically to run on both water and gas. As technology improves, so do advances in technology that involve cars and using water as fuel.
When water gets in the gas it goes into the engine and makes the car sputter and choke. So make sure you ask the person that is running the store if there is water in the gas. If they don't know just remember to have some rubbing alcohol in you car just in case it happens to you.

Turning Water Into Gas - Can it Happen, and If So, How Does it Work?
Turning water into gas is not a reality and cannot happen. But before you think "yep, I knew it, this whole water for gas thing is a big scam," hear me out. This technology does work, and works very well, but you have to understand HOW it works.
When you use this technology, you are not turning water into gas, but rather into fuel. To fuel a vehicle is to power a vehicle, and this is achieved through a hybrid of water and gasoline. The hydrogen that is in the water combines with traditional gasoline to make a compound that goes by a number of different names, such as HHO gas, Brown gas, and Brown's gas. (the term Brown comes from the inventor Yull Brown, who developed the technology)
When you use HHO in your car, (turning water into gas, if you will) you will see major savings in what you spend on gas each month. People who have installed water gas kits on their cars see their miles per gallon double. But there are other benefits as well. The engine in your car will have a lot more power, because the water will cool the engine down, and a cooler motor puts out more horsepower. Also, turning water into gas is a big benefit for those looking to help our environment, because the emissions that come from the tailpipe are much cleaner than those coming from a traditional setup. And finally, you will not only save money on fuel by turning water into gas, but you will also save money on taxes, since you will be driving a hybrid.

Run Your Car On Water Review - Discover The Truth
Last week average gas price peaked at a new record. Moreover, experts say that prices will still go up. But is there any design of this problem? Can we spend less money and lessen gas consumption? The answer is yes. Scientists have invented a technology which can make your dreams a reality.
The technology is called run your car on water because it allows you to use less gas by running your car on hydrogen which is generated from water. Using this technology you can go on long miles with the help of the water.
This technology is very simple. System, installed in your car, breaks the waters' element which is represented through H20 into in its original form which is HHO, which is used as an addition to gas.
Authors of this technology claim that it will help you to lessen gas consumption by 40%. Moreover, this technology is completely safe for environment and is already used in many modern hybrid cars. However it is possible to convert your car into water hybrid so you don't have to buy a new car. The biggest advantage of this technology is that it is very affordable and everyone can use it. You don't need to have any special knowledges. Using blueprints and plans you will be able to install it in two hours.

Money Saver, Using Water to Improve Your Gas Mileage
As we all know, if we can improve our vehicle’s gas mileage that means we can save money. Let’s face the fact that gas prices are skyrocketing. Most of Americans are paying $4 for each gallon, while in the international market it would cost as much as $6 for each gallon. There would be the old techniques to save gas and the new technology (called water to gas engines) that will save our money from the pump.
We know that if there are traditional ways to achieve better mileage. Like if we change some of our driving habits such as accelerating slowly, keeping a good distance (so you don't have to break and again accelerate), running on a constant speed and not driving faster then 65mph - 120km/h, then definitely we’ll be getting better mileage out of our cars.
Making sure the tires are well inflated will also help in improving gas mileage. Wheel alignment is also important, since an improper alignment can add to the wear the tires are experiencing which is unnecessary. Having a regular car tuning up will also help. Replacing your old air, with a new filter can reduce fuel consumption up to 10%.
Using public transportation and sharing a ride through carpools, vanpools and mass transit are also good ways to conserve gasoline and energy. It even reduces air pollution and traffic congestion. By following these basic maintenance guidelines, there will be a cut back on the amount of fuel your car needs.
But there is another way to attain better mileage. Do you know that by converting you car to run on water to supplement gas, mileage doesn’t just double; it can increase up to 40%! It even produces cleaner emission and the car becomes more fuel efficient.
With this technology it doesn’t mean that you will be putting water to your gas tank. With water-to-gas-engines, you will be installing Hydrogen generators that will separate water into a gas called HHO (also called Brown’s Gas or Hydroxy) which burns smoothly and produces significant energy. Water then can be used to fuel a car as a supplement to gasoline. As a matter of fact, you can just use ordinary tap water while other water for gas conversion kit needs distilled water. Very little amount of water is needed, one quart of water can provide up to 1800 gallons of HHO gas which can last for months. Some water for gas conversion kits, like, Water4Gas, would just require that you put in ½ cup of distilled water weekly or 3 cups of distilled water for 3-6 weeks. The water-gas conversion kit can cost around $60- $150. This would definitely increase you car’s fuel competency and save money.
Not only are these kits gas saving devices, but it turns out that it does a lot more. These conversion kits are said to produce a smoother running engine. With an ordinary vehicle running on gas, about 20-25% of gas is lost to carbon deposits and beat. But with water-gas conversion kits, the engine is being steam cleaned everyday, making the engine run smoother and quieter, even with a longer life.
These are just some ways to improve your gas mileage. It could be changing our driving habits and our car maintenance routine or it could be the revolutionary means of upgrading or car engine to use water to supplement gas. But bottom line is that gas prices are increasing everyday and people changing cars to vehicles that use less gasoline.
If you want to save but find it to expensive to buy a hybrid car, then there are ways to improve your vehicle’s mileage. Even the smallest improvement can result to big savings every year.
Ultimate Gas Savers: Run Your Car by Using Water and Other Alternatives
Good News: You just bought a new car.
Bad News: Gas Prices are increasing day by day. There would come a time that you will surpass the amount that you paid for your car for all the gasoline costs. This will just be in a matter of months.
Solution: Alternative fuel
To put a solution to your problem, water to gas conversion kits are readily available in the market. They claimed to provide better mileage than that of ordinary gasoline. It is very much inexpensive and easy to install.
Different company players for the water to gas industry are providing easy step by step installation guides to assist in installing this water to gas converter in your car engines. After installing it, it does not mean that water will totally replace gas as means of fuel. Water would be a supplement to gasoline. You just have to make sure that you are putting in ½ cup of water weekly 3 cups of distilled or tap water within 3-6 weeks in the quart-sized container under the hood of your car. Just don’t forget to put the catalyst which is baking soda also in the said container. Pronto! What you have is a car that runs on water and gas.
This is not the first time that water was tried or used for an alternative fuel. Alternative fuels are also known as non-conventional fuels. They are materials or substances that can be used as a fuel aside from the usual fuel that we used like petroleum, coal, propane and natural gas. Several sources of alternative fuel are the renewable energy that comes from wind power, solar power, tidal power, geothermal power and hydropower. Biomass, which is the energy coming from living and recently dead biological material, serves also as a source of alternative fuel.
Naturally, when gasoline prices rise up, people think of alternative fuel source. There would be cars that run natural gas or NGV. It is fuel efficient, environmentally friendly and offers a relatively low cost of ownership. Electric vehicles (EV) are powered by fuel cells. While hybrid cars uses two or more distinct power source to propel the vehicle. A mo-ped (motorized pedal bike) can be classified as a hybrid vehicle since it combines the power of a gasoline engine and the pedal power of the rider.
There are also flexible fuel vehicles or FFVs.
They are capable of operating on gasoline, E85 (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline) or even a mixture of both. Flexible fuel vehicles contain one duelling system which is made up of ethanol compatible components. Propane, also known as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), has been used in vehicles since 1920. There are dedicated propane vehicles designed to run only on propane. While there are bi-propane vehicles. These vehicles have two separate fuelling systems that enable the vehicle to use either propane or gasoline.
Propane powered engines are said to have a life of up to two times that of gasoline powered engines. Lower maintenance costs are also prime reason behind propane’s popularity.
There are lost of alternative fuel choices in the market. It could be using the water to gas conversion system that does not require you to change your engine or overhauling your whole vehicle to make way for a hybrid car. Main thing is we choose something that is suitable for our needs and meets our objectives and standards.
Water to Gas is it Fact or Fiction?
A lot has been said about the revolutionary process of making vehicles run on water instead of purely gasoline fuel, which has led to a lot of hubris whether it is actually truu or just a figment of one person’s twisted imagination?
Sounds too good to be true, right? But in reality, water is actually a good source of energy, which if processed properly and it’s energy channeled correctly, is actually a better alternative to petroleum products like gasoline and other forms of fuel.
Although it may still be considered rocket science to actually make the most out of water, but one fact remains about how water can be used for fuel – not water per se, but one of water’s vital elements, which is hydrogen.
The atomic substance that is hydrogen is the leading alternative to conventional petroleum-based fuel.
For now, among the most common operational processes by water to gas, are fuel-saving devices that primarily extract a form of mixed hydrogen and oxygen gas called Brown’s Gas or HHO into the vehicles fuel injection system.
This enriched mixture of oxygen and hydrogen, also called oxyhydrogen, is mixed with gasoline, causing both substances to chemically bond together molecularly and magnetically.
This combination, according to experts, results to better fuel economy and increases mileage per gallon by as much as 25%-50%, depending on the vehicle’s engine make-up and condition.
These gas-saving devices can also increase in engine power, since less pressure is exerted on the accelerator pedal to speed up the engine, thus reducing the amount of gas used to fuel the engine.
Since the oxyhydrogen mixture burns cleaner and more completely, thus it processes more efficiently and maximizes engine power. It also cleans up carbon deposits in the engine and prevents future build-up of carbon.
It can also be environmentally friendly since exhaust emissions are greatly reduced by the oxyhydrogen burning process.
Due to the cooling nature of oxygen and hydrogen, the temperature in the combustion chamber drops slightly, efficiently enhancing fuel combustion and quicker flame spread ratio.
But many are still wondering if the water to gas idea is indeed true or a scam? Surely not, since the technology has been there long enough for others to work on better solutions to harness that potential to replace petroleum with water-based fuel.
Yes, water to gas is true, but for now the system or process of solely using water to fuel vehicles using hydrogen is still not perfected for commercial vehicles, since studies and science is still trying to master the process of extracting hydrogen on a portable and small-scale process, since the current process is very expensive and requires a lot of equipment.
But of course, with the interest attracted by water to gas systems, scams would still abound, since this system is a potential concept that could easily convince unwary individuals to fall prey to misleading schemes.
So, many would still be advised to be wary of such scams perpetrated by unscrupulous individuals.
B that as it may, the technology of water to gas is an innovative temporary yet beneficial answer to call of the times in addressing the common problem of skyrocketing fuel prices, which, eventually, will lead the way to develop cheaper and alternative sources to fuel, especially one that can be good and sustainable for the environment.
